Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is focused treatment that use a variety of massage tools unique to your personal needs that restore functional mobility.
Improving range of motion and joint stability by decreasing muscle tension, fascial restriction and scar tissue can help improve your muscle strength and balance. Discover your physical capabilities and enjoy moving through your normal daily activities more easily.
Graston Technique: Myofascial release

Graston Technique, also known as muscle scraping, is a myofascial release technique that uses metal tools that are excellent for assessing soft tissue injury, reducing adhesions, scar tissue and returning soft tissue to normal function. This gentle technique is designed to speed up injury healing, improve strength, reduce pain and increase range of motion.
I combine this therapy with a variety of other tools to provide a truly personalized and effective massage experience.
Ultrasound Therapy

Therapeutic ultrasound is a safe and effective method for:
-
decreasing swelling and bruising
-
speeding up the healing of strains and sprains
-
breaking down scar tissue
-
Reducing severe muscle spasms

Typically, ultrasound sessions last between 7 to 10 minutes are incorporated alongside other treatments for a well-rounded massage therapy experience.
Cupping Therapy

Athletes are often seen with dark purple circles on their skin from therapeutic cupping. In my practice, I occasionally use this stationary cupping method when needed, but I mostly do "moving cupping", which covers more surface area: one plastic cup is placed on the skin and a vacuum effect pulls the skin into the cup. With the application of oil, the cup is free to glide across the skin, gently decompressing soft tissue. It is extremely effective at releasing fascial restriction and increasing range of motion.
Occasionally, with moving-cupping, tiny red specks can appear on the skin from capillaries, but is very mild compared to the large circles.
Athletic Taping

Athletic taping is used to stabilize injured areas and help prevent further tissue damage. It can help speed up healing and decrease pain during activity.
This flexible tape is applied at the end of the appointment, is waterproof, and can last for approximately five days. Taping is an excellent tool as it can be customized to meet each patient's specific requirements.
Postural Assessment

Postural assessment is a personalized look at your body mechanics. We focus on identifying which muscles are too tight or weak, bringing your posture out of balance.
This assessment aims to optimize your treatment plan so I can help you improve your joint alignment and decrease tension and pain.
When you understand your unique postural imbalances, you can take clear proactive steps toward better overall function and comfort.
